How to prepare for trek in Nepal?

Trekking is fun, exciting and entertaining with nature. You may face difficulties unless you prepare well for the trek. There are both easy and challenging treks in Nepal. Preparation of trek is necessary for all trekking because walking 5, 6 hours every day remains a challenge unless we practice walking long distance. This article is all about the preparation techniques that are essential for every trekker.

Walking: Walking is the simplest and very important method of trek preparation. You should walk 2,3 hours a day before three months of Everest base camp trek. Walking regularly for three months helps you to walk easily in the trekking routes. You will not get tired even after walking for a long distance.

Running: If you don’t have enough time for walking then you can run for an hour every day before three months of trek. Running makes your muscles stronger and help to walk properly during the trek.

Cycling: Beside walking and running, you can do cycling for to prepare for trek. You can cycle for around 45 minutes if you don’t have enough time for walking and running.

Physical exercises: You should do regular physical exercises such as pushups, planks, squats, burpees, hiking, swimming and pull-ups to make your body strong and increase the stamina of the body.

Selection of trek: You should select the best trek such as EBC trekking, Annapurna base camp trek, Langtang valley trek, Manaslu circuit trek or any other trekking in Nepal that is favorable to you.

Best season of trekking

You should always choose the best time for trekking to enjoy the scenic beauty and peasant weather. The months of March April, May, September, October and November are the best time for trekking in Nepal.

Clothing

Proper clothes are essential for trekking. You should pack warm jackets, sleeping bags, flexible tracks, trousers, three / four pairs of socks, fleece T-shirts for every trek in Nepal. Rain cover is also important considering the months of trekking.

Charger

It will be difficult for getting charger in Himalayan region of Nepal. Thus, you should have your own charger and power banks so that you can charge your gadgets every day. There will not be a charging facility in rooms of tea houses therefore you should charge your gadgets in the dinning hall.

Permits

Permit is the entry permission of national park or conservation area. Every trekking destination like Everest base camp trek, Langtang valley trek, Annapurna base camp trek, Annapurna circuit trek, Everest Panaroma trek requires permit for trekking in the destinations. Thus, you should have trekking permits too before starting the trek.

 Preparation for the trek is very important to complete the trek successfully. You should struggle with different difficulties like unable to walk for long time, twisting of legs on uphills and downhills, unable to cover long distance. Therefore, if your mindsets for trekking in upcoming season, you should start your preparation for trekking in Nepal or any other part of the world. Doing day hiking is also the best method for preparing the trekking in mountains.
